This Week at the Workshop ✂️ June 15, 2025
Somehow, we blinked and it’s already mid-June 🤯 Between cutting, unpacking, prepping for Italy, and trying to get all the right cords into the right outlets, the days are flying by. But despite the mess and the million moving parts, we’re starting to find our rhythm, just in time to head out on our next sourcing adventure!
Without further ado, here’s what we've got going on at the workshop this week:
Venice Silk 🎨✨
Remember that surprise we told you all about last week? 🙊 Well, get ready!!!
All the details on our brand new Venice silk, ✨ Starlight ✨, will be coming Monday evening 🤓 it will drop in the shop Wednesday at 10am PDT and will ship before we leave for Italy on Sunday 🎉 Our community group, Unthreaded, will have early access to shop. Come join us here, and stay tuned.
Fun fact: this was meant to be a Mother’s Day surprise for our community, but with the move and a million other things happening, we just couldn’t make it happen in time. We are so happy to finally share it with you 👯💕
🌿 Maven
Maven restocked last week, and it is going fast! We have a few more Oak Scouts and Ring Slings cut and headed into production, but after that, it will be a little while before we can make more. If you’ve had your eye on Maven, what we have on the site now will be it for a bit, as we have so much more to make, like all of this 👇 below!
🧇 Waffle
I’m excited to share that Waffle is officially on the cutting table ✂️ and a big batch will be our workshop project while we are in Italy! Keep in mind we have lots of colors and styles to make, so when we restock this collection, there will be fewer pieces per style, but every style and color will be included. It’s always a balancing act!
Colors coming: Coco, Shiitake, Honeycomb, Surf, Mochi, and Forest.
We’re aiming to restock these sometime late June or early July, though with traveling and everything going on, the timing might be a little flexible. If we do restock while we’re away, orders won’t start shipping until we return. We’ll keep you posted!
🏖️ Simple
This one’s a bit tricky. We’re cutting some Catalina tomorrow (no leather Scouts and Onbuhimos, plus a few Ring Slings) and had hoped to ship them before we leave. That might have been a little too ambitious 😅 They’ll still be restocked soon, likely within the next week, but most orders won’t ship until we’re back. Starlight is the priority this week, so we’re keeping things flexible and seeing how it goes.
We’re already deep into fall planning, so for now, Simple Silks means what’s on the site plus the Catalina mentioned here and maybe a bit more Ink if time allows.
🧵 Weft
Our new raw silk and cotton Weft colors should be arriving in the next few weeks, maybe even while we’re in Italy! Once they land and the cutting table is clear, we’ll dive right in and get them on the floor ✂️ We’re aiming for a mid-July release, which is not too far off from our original guesstimate of a late June drop 🤗
We already shot the new colors on models back in March, so once the fabric arrives, we’ll be ready to go. We’re excited to share all the colors, styles, and details closer to launch when the full project comes together. With so many moving parts, waiting to share until everything is ready helps us present the full picture to our community with confidence. Since we’re waiting on raw materials, not pre-made carriers, there’s still a lot of cutting, sewing, and finishing ahead, which means timelines can shift. We hope this peek behind the scenes gives you a clearer sense of how everything comes together and what to expect along the way!
🇮🇹 Italy Sourcing Trip
We’re beyond excited to be heading back to Italy from the last week of June through the first week of July for another leather sourcing adventure with the kids along for the ride. It’s going to be a fun mix of work, travel, and family time. Be sure to follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss any of the stories from our trip.

And that’s the scoop for this week! We’re also getting ready to head off to Italy, so it’s feeling like summer in every way 🏖️
