Newborn Ring Sling Fit: What to Look For

Newborn Ring Sling Fit: What to Look For

There’s nothing quite like those newborn days. A Ring Sling keeps your baby right where they want to be, close. And a great newborn fit doesn’t need to be complicated. A few little things can make all the difference in getting you both comfortable. We’ve included a quick fit check at the bottom, too.

Keep baby high + close

Your baby should sit high on your chest, close enough to kiss. Their face should always be visible, with plenty of space around their nose and mouth, and their chin lifted away from their chest.

Snug is good

Your Ring Sling should feel snug and supportive, holding baby close to your body just as your arms would. Smooth out any loose fabric across their back as you tighten.

Create a deep seat

For a legs out carry, bring plenty of fabric underneath baby to create a deep, supported seat. The fabric should reach from knee to knee, with baby’s knees higher than their bottom.

Now, go about your day

Once you find your fit, the Ring Sling becomes one of those beautifully simple things. Baby stays tucked in close while you move through these early days together.
