Workshop Update ✂️ Early 2026
We haven’t shared a proper workshop update in a little while, and we’re so happy to be back! The holidays were a wonderful time to be with our families, and now we’re diving into the new year with fresh energy and plenty to share with you.
Wrapping up the holiday season, a big thank you ✨
First things first, thank you for helping make this holiday season so special. From our Compassion Project, where we transformed scraps into art and raised money for Feeding San Diego, to our Holiday Silk Velvet collection with Rachel Ehlin (aka Mr. Blue Skye) and our New Year’s Sample Sale, we loved sharing it all with you and are so grateful for your support.
Before we dive into the new season, a quick note: we’ll be adjusting our prices on February 1. More details are below, but we wanted to be upfront as we kick off all the exciting updates ahead.
Basics linen are back 🌾
After a short break over the past year, our Basics Linen collection is back by popular demand and drops in the shop this Friday! Perfect for all seasons, these carriers have a classic linen texture and are pre-washed and tumbled dry in LA, making them soft, floppy, and ready for all of your everyday adventures.
Simple Silks, new colors + a January preorder 🏖️
We have two new Simple Silk colors coming for spring 🎨 and we’re doing things a little differently this season. In past years, new colors have sold out quickly, leaving many waiting for restocks and missing out on having one in time for the season. This year, we’re opening a one-week preorder during January so everyone can have their Simple Silk in hand for spring and summer adventures 💦 and before our upcoming price increase. We don’t have a date yet but will keep you posted with more details when we have them.

The Traveling Sakura Bloom Project 🧳
A few days before Christmas, we packed three traveling boxes with some of our favorite carriers, plus cookies and coffee from our favorite local roaster, and sent them off to 12 amazing families. Each box is visiting a new family every two weeks, and we can’t wait to see the adventures they share!
All updates and stories from this project will be shared in our community group, Unthreaded, so come join us over there if you haven’t already.
SB Insiders 👯
SB Babywearing Office Hours 🤓
We’ve introduced SB Babywearing Office Hours with our babywearing educator, Paige. These are open, shared learning hours where you can drop in for fit checks, comfort support, guidance, and tips.
We just wrapped up our first round and will be adding more dates to the calendar later this week. You can find the calendar here.
A necessary change.
Not a fun one to share. On February 1, we will be raising prices. We talked about this last April and the time has come.
The reality is that the cost of every part of making our carriers has increased significantly. It’s frustrating to face challenges that make doing what we love more difficult, but it’s also motivating and inspiring. These changes push us to lean even harder into the work we care about most: sourcing beautiful natural fibers, collaborating with talented artisans, and crafting each carrier with intention and heart.
As the world seems to want us to move faster and with less heart, we are reminded why slowing down, creating thoughtfully, and staying true to our roots is so important. Your support makes it possible for us to keep exploring, innovating, and sharing the work we love. Thanks for being here with us and helping keep this kind of meaningful, handcrafted work alive.
Looking forward ✨
Looking into 2026, we’re so grateful for everything so far and excited for what’s ahead. Teja is in Bangkok for her semester abroad, and we’re planning a family trip this spring to be with her and explore Thailand together. I’m also really looking forward to the projects we’ve been quietly developing behind the scenes. We’ve shared a few already, and there are a couple of longer-term ideas we hope to bring to life later this year.
In a nutshell, we can’t wait to keep creating, exploring, and sharing what we love with you. Thank you for being on this journey with us, we couldn’t do any of it without you!
Lynne and all of us at Sakura Bloom 💛
