We made it into the new workshop 🎉
Are we fully set up? Not even close. Are we sewing anyway? You bet!
The sewing machines are humming, we're all finding our groove, and our first batch of carriers is already coming together! We’re still stepping over boxes, figuring out where tables should go, and the kitchen is... well, it’s not a kitchen yet 😅 But we’re here, we’re sewing, and the energy feels SO good. Even better, the new space is just minutes from our home which is a total game changer 🏠💕
If you’re new around here, a quick update: we recently stopped doing preorders and shifted to only selling what we actually have in the studio. It was a big change, but one we feel really good about. No more paying for something that’s weeks away from shipping, if it’s listed, it’s ready or nearly ready to go. A better experience for everyone all the way around 👯
That said, it’ll take a little time to build inventory back up. Things have been selling out quickly, and we’re sewing new batches each week to keep up. Thanks so much for sticking with us while we settle in and find our rhythm. We’re excited for what’s ahead and hope you are too.

Coco, Forest, and Toffee: Restocking, Friday, May 30 @ 10am PDT
This is the very first batch to come off the floor in our new workshop 🤗 Pre-moving we cut the last of our fabric for these, and we're busy making them up now. They will be shipping by Tuesday at the latest, so we're going to list them for sale on Friday morning as we have so many requests to just get them up so get ready to grab yours Friday morning!
(I realize this has already passed but I wrote it last night so it stays. haha!)
Maven 🌿
Maven has landed and we’ll be making a small batch next week 🎉 Bittersweet, Hibiscus, Juneau, Montauk, Moonstone, and Oak will all be restocking BUT we can’t make every style in every color all at once. So if you’ve been waiting for a specific combo, head over to Unthreaded and vote in our poll. It helps us decide what to prioritize for this first round.

Waffle 🧇
Honeycomb, Mochi, Shiitake, Surf, plus more Coco and Forest are on their way ✨ If all goes smoothly with customs this time around, we'll be cutting this up right when it arrives and they'll will be ready for you somewhere in mid to late June. We’ll keep you in the loop as soon as we know more!
Weft 🍃
New raw silk and cotton Weft colors are coming to join Birch later this season. We shot the samples back in March, and once they arrive at the new studio, we’ll jump into production. If everything goes to plan, we’re looking at a late June or early July launch
Simple 🌊
We restocked Simple last week and while a few pieces are still available on the site, most have already sold out so we are hoping to be able to restock some Catalina and Ink within the next few weeks. Starlight, Bonaire, and Tearose are all gone for the season, and the last of Amaretto is on the site.

Back to Italy 🇮🇹
We're headed back to Italy for more leather sourcing and this time the kids are coming! 🤗
With Teja home from college for the summer, it’s the perfect time for another sourcing trip (with a little family vacation mixed in). We’re still working out the details but couldn’t be more excited. Traveling with the kids, meeting the makers behind our materials, and learning together never gets old.
While we may cut and sew all of our carriers here in our California workshop, the reality is that so much of what we do depends on our artisan friends around the world 🌍 Global collaboration has always been at the heart of Sakura Bloom, and in today’s world, learning where things come from, and honoring the hands that make them feels more important than ever ❤️
