A little workshop update, Monday, April 28.
Lots of questions about restocks and what’s coming next! Here’s all the scoop on what we've got going on.
Project "let's get off preorder"
Getting off of preorder is no small feat! First off, a huge thank you for your patience as we juggle both fulfilling existing orders and working toward having everything in stock. Saying it's a bit of a balancing act is an understatement - right now, we’re so focused on making the things we’ve already sold that we haven’t had time to make new items to stock, and almost everything we did have in stock has sold out. {Insert mildly painful but very necessary learning curve here!}
Our suck pads are also caught up in this process and have had to take a back seat for the moment while we get over the hump. But we will get there!
While this transition is a challenge, we’re confident we can do it. Just a heads-up that inventory will be a bit low during this time - but it’s all part of moving toward an all-in-stock model, and we promise it’ll be SO worth it.
Toffee
- We just restocked a few today! You can grab one while we've for them here.
Simple Silk
- Restock! We’re making up a small batch of Catalina, Amaretto, Bonaire, and Ink this week and hoping to restock soon, as in late this week or early next week. It just depends when they come off the floor and are ready for shipping. Once we have a specific date and time, we will send an email and also post the details in our community group, Unthreaded. A heads up that members of Unthreaded will receive early access to shop so always a good idea to pop in there pre-drops!
- April 29th Stardust and Tearose Preorder. We're busy cutting the very last preorder (!!) Stardust and Tearose from way back in March. We were hoping to have some leftover silk, but due to circumstances beyond our control, it is not looking like we will have much. We will know more once everything is cut, though, and will be sure to keep you posted.
- Stardust and Tearose Restock. It looks like we have a little bit of silk left over to do a small restock of these colors, with a bit more Tearose than Stardust. We are just not sure where we can fit them into production at the moment. When we have more information, we will share!
Maven Silks
- After the Simple restock coming up, we’ll be making up a small batch of Mavens - that will restock right before Mother's Day! Again, we cannot give a specific date until we know for sure they will be done so when we have that information, we will share via email and in Unthreaded!
Waffle
- We used up all of the Waffle fabric we had for last week's drop, so what’s available now is all we’ve got for a bit.
- Coco and Forest > These are en route, but have been stuck in customs for almost three weeks without answers. Fingers crossed, they are released soon, and we can get them into production.
- More Waffle colors coming soon-ish > Surf, Mochi, Honeycomb, and Shiitake are currently being woven. If all goes well, they’ll be here in a few weeks and we’ll jump on cutting and sewing them up asap! Realistically, this will not be until we get into our new space, sometime in June (see below).
Workshop Move
- And finally, we’re moving our workshop in just a few weeks! We're not really sure what this is going to look like, but we are sure that production will be disrupted for at least a couple of weeks as we disassemble, move, and reassemble all of our machines, tables, lights, cutters, desks, and more. We still haven't found a place, but we have a favorite that we're hoping to sign for soon as we have to be out of here by May 30!
