Introducing the Sakura Bloom Onbuhimo!
The Onbuhimo, what is it and why do we love it so much? An onbuhimo is a traditional Japanese style baby carrier designed to be worn high on the back. This waistless soft carrier gives a wonderful feeling of freedom to you while letting your little one ride high enough to see over your shoulder and be right where the action is. Comfortable and supportive for both of you.
Our Onbuhimo carrier is as beautiful as it is functional, is extremely lightweight, and folds up small for easy diaper bag storage. This carrier is designed for babies who are sitting unassisted, from 15 lbs up to 35 lbs. A great carrier for toddlers who love quick ups and downs! Also, a wonderful carrier for pregnant mothers as it has no waistband. Our Onbuhimo can be worn on the front or back, has two available chest strap sizes, six different chest clip positions, and a detachable hood for sleepy babies. Made right here in California of signature Sakura Bloom linen with our new supple leather. Designed with both you and your baby in mind, with less straps and less fuss, our Onbuhimo makes outings simple - just the way we like things at Sakura Bloom!
Sakura Bloom is a company with a heart. Founded in 2006, we are a small family-run business based in San Diego. Our carriers have always been made in the USA. We stand with and for women, babies, creating jobs and paying fair wages, education, and empowering parents. We give back to community non-profit organizations through our compassion project. Every day, we offer one-on-one babywearing education to new parents both online and in our community studio. We travel as a family to source our textiles and work with artisans, whether it is to San Francisco or to India. In the last eleven years, we have worked with parents and babies around the world to share, to learn, and to grow. We are excited to introduce our new Onbuhimo to you - a beautiful, simple carrier with a treasured history for you and your baby. We know you’re going to love this carrier as much as we do!
