Mr. Blue Skye, Vol. VII. A part of our zero-waste initiative, the Compassion Project.
9 boxes of textile scrap “waste”
1 artisan weaver
47 one of a kind Sakura Blooms
In her 7th iteration, our friend and textile artist, Rachel-Ehlin Smith (Mr. Blue Skye), has outdone herself, creating one-of-a-kind art from what most would call nothing. Textile scraps bound anew, woven masterfully, and handcrafted into 42 Scouts and 5 Onbuhimos - each carrier will be for individual sale.
$50 from the sale of each carrier will be donated to the United Negro College Fund to aid in their efforts to increase the total annual number of African American college graduates by focusing on activities that ensure more students are college-ready, enroll in college and persist to graduation.
Mr. Blue Skye drops in the shop Thursday, July 9, 10am PST.
