ON LOVE
Of all the things our keiki inherit from you, let your love of Mother Nature top the list. Before me, it was her. She captivated you like no one or nothing else could. My earliest memories of you, my favorite adventures with you, she was part of them all.
Now I have the privilege of watching the boys follow in your footsteps. As wild as they can be, they display a similar sense of total reverence when they interact with Mother Nature. Just like you, a quietness--even a softness overcomes them in her presence. Now I've decided to honor the magic of this phenomenon with pure imagery and limited words.
Take special note of the boys' faces and their body language, their love for her shines through both.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: "The world is a big place full of beautiful people and things." You inspired these words my dear, and they'll continue to guide our keiki for many years to come. Your love for Mother Nature will live on through them, and their keiki, and so on.
