The Common Thread // Shveta

We are excited to introduce @shvetasontakey today in our feature:

Name: Shveta Sontakey

Kids + Ages: 6 month old baby girl named Sareena

Where you live: Los Angeles, CA (Brentwood, Los Angeles)

What is unique about the wall you're standing in front of: As a nature lover, I appreciate a wall made of natural materials. I'm partial to walls covered in stone, it reminds me of a cottage.

I spend 90% of my time: Raising Sareena & loving Sameer and 10% of my time devouring a good book.

The strangest thing I ever discovered in the bottom of my bag was: a plastic fork. Although it would come in handy if I want to grab a bite on the go!

When I'm celebrating, you'll find me eating: pizza and drinking: rose kombucha (I know, I need to calm down)

If I could have any superpower, it would be: To slow down time.

Making pancakes on the weekend, I'm listening to: Sareena cooing & babbling

If I got pulled over for speeding, I'd most likely be listening to: hip hop

If I could spend a month making the world a better place, I'd: find homes for orphaned babies and try to match them with women who can't have any of their own. Motherhood is too beautiful not to experience & all babies deserve to be nurtured & loved!

The most inspiring Instagram feed to follow is: @TuulaVintage - her travels ignite my wanderlust

My top tip for a new parent: Do the best you can & love with all your heart. Just be present while enjoying the moment.

My favorite book recommendation: Spark Joy by Marie Kondo

If I could only have one Sakura Bloom on a desert island, I'd have: the Pink Sand silk ring sling… it's so elegant and feminine!

If you get me talking about: attachment parenting & natural birth you might as well cancel the rest of your day.

The name of my memoir would be: The dedicated wife & mother

The top item on my bucket list is: to travel the world with my growing family

If I could go anywhere in the world for a week, I'd choose: Italy. The food alone is reason enough!
