The Common Thread. A Sakura Bloom photo documentary celebrating the commonalities that we share through the capture of what makes us unique.
We are excited today to introduce @happilyhughes, Jessica Hughes.
Name: Jessica Hughes
Kids + Ages: Henley (4 months) and Hudson (3)
Where you live: Atlanta, GA
What is unique about the wall you're standing in front of: It’s actually a mural on a dentist's office but I love it so much! SMILE!
I spend 100% of my time doing: mothering and 40% of my time: blogging at Happily Hughes.
The strangest thing I ever discovered in the bottom of my sling bag/purse was: A penis straw. It was the weekend after my bachelorette and I was looking for my chapstick and pulled out the penis straw. In the middle of a meeting at work.
When I'm celebrating, you'll find me eating: cheese and drinking: pinot noir
If I could have any superpower, it would be: either to talk to people in Heaven or be able to do 4 things at once. Like feed the kids, workout, blog AND clean the house all at the same time.
Making pancakes on the weekend, I'm listening to: Making Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson - Hudson loves that song and we sing it together while we make breakfast.
If I got pulled over for speeding, I'd most likely be listening to: Well if I’m speeding, the kids aren’t in the car which means I’m going buck wild. Probably Beyonce or Ellie Goulding.
If I could spend a month making the world a better place, I’d: help with research for Pediatric Cancer.
The most inspiring Instagram feed to follow is: @amberfillerup
My top tip for a new parent: Just keep that baby alive, my friend. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
My favorite book recommendation: Whew, this is a tough one. I’ve always loved The Prince of Tides but recently enjoyed Me & You.
If I could only have one Sakura Bloom on a desert island, I'd have: This Chambray Curacao Sakura Bloom! It’s lightweight, breathable, and gorgeous.
If you get me talking about fitness you might as well cancel the rest of your day.
The name of my memoir would be: Babies, Weights and Cheese - the Life of Jessica Hughes
The top item on my bucket list is: Swim with sea turtles.
If I could go anywhere in the world for a week, I'd choose: It’s a tie between Bora Bora or the Amalfi Coast
Thank you so much for joining us for The Common Thread!
