The Common Thread. A Sakura Bloom photo documentary celebrating the commonalities that we share through the capture of what makes us unique.
Today we are so happy to introduce: @breabird // Breanne Rodgers.
Name: Breanne Rodgers
Kids + Ages: Behr Owen (almost 2)
Where you live: Northern Kentucky
What is unique about the wall you're standing in front of: it's from an old barn in the city park, my husband grew up around and where we spend a lot time as a family.
I spend 60% of my time loving Jonathan and raising Behr and 40% of my time blogging personally via Instagram and www.shewriteshere.org and growing our photography business @lightandletter
The strangest thing I ever discovered in the bottom of my purse was: a piece of granite rock from our baby moon (when I was 32 weeks pregnant) to Maine.
When I'm celebrating, you'll find me eating: moose tracks ice cream and drinking: Coke (I'm obviously a party animal, ha!)
If I could have any superpower, it would be: to control the weather. I'm completely enamored with God's creation.
Making pancakes on the weekend, I'm listening to: a mix of Drew Holcomb, Mumford & Sons and David Crowder
If I got pulled over for speeding, I'd most likely be listening to: The Adventure by Angels & Airwaves
If I could spend a month making the world a better place, I'd: host a month-long retreat in the mountains. Connecting, resting, and hiking.
The most inspiring Instagram feed to follow is: @joyprouty, she has humility, honest beauty and a stunning talent for crafting imagery.
My top tip for a new parent: grace, grace grace. To you, your baby, to others. Don't be afraid of the change. Lean into it and grow.
My favorite book recommendation: C.S Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. An magical and ingenious allegory of the Gospel.
If I could only have one Sakura Bloom on a desert island, I'd have: my chambray Black Currant because it's proven to be one of my most faithful pieces of baby gear I own.
If you get me talking about: the power of storytelling (through movies, books, photography, art, etc.) you might as well cancel the rest of your day.
The name of my memoir would be: Word-weaver: How the Quiet One Found Her Voice
The top item on my bucket list is: to bring Jesus glory through kindness, curiosity and servant-heartedness
If I could go anywhere in the world for a week, I'd choose: New Zealand. Yes, I am a shameless Tolkien fan.
Thank you so much for joining us for The Common Thread!
